Project Overview: Funky Garcia's

The owners of Funky Garcia’s approached Your Digital Concierge with the idea of building a high-quality, low price restaurant/bar alternative for Downtown San Diego residents, convention guests and Petco Park visitors.

The owners were intent on providing a superior audio & video experience. However they didn’t want the hassles that are usually associated with Pro-A/V Systems, nor did they want to hire a full time A/V Operator.

Moreover, the client felt it was important that their staff have the ability to channel music tracks immediately upon request and during TV commercials of broadcast events. Oftentimes, patrons entering the bar request a certain TV broadcast be shown on the TV in front of where they’re sitting. To accommodate this immediate request the owners wanted the ability to operate the DirecTV Satellite Boxes, DVD Player, iPod & Music Video System without having to go to the A/V Closet.

Your Digital Concierge was challenged with the space available for equipment and working on a limited budget to accomplish these unique tasks.

To accomplish these requests and more, Your Digital Concierge installed a fully remote controlled Audio & Video System whereupon the bartenders can be anywhere in the restaurant and control each HDTV & video source using a handheld devise. The user can also select iPod, CD Player, or operate the 22,000 Song Music Video System and select exactly what they want to hear and blast the volume when necessary!

Finally, the owners wanted to be able to view the restaurant’s Video Surveillance Cameras from anywhere on the road using a laptop computer or iPhone. Your Digital Concierge installed the Video Surveillance System as well.

Needless to say, Your Digital Concierge was able to engineer and install a system that works exactly as requested and provides an Audio & Video experience that exceeds even the client’s lofty expectations...
